No matter how Dark it is; There is always a Rainbow to be found.
Hey, Ya’ll!
Keep an eye out for not only two art/DIY/Craft posts this week but a quick post about a new goal I’ve made that I’ll be posting updates about here as well as likely that post for this week. I promise it’ll make sense later. But for now, here’s this week’s writing.
Theo settled back on the sofa, prepared to binge-watch her favorite show. A boom went off in the kitchen and she turned her head, opening her mouth.
“No worries! Everything’s fine.”
Theo grinned, “You sure?”
Her roommate, Lila, poked her head out, hair covered in smoke, “Yep. Just a mixture that got overheated and blew up. All good. I’m tossing this one and trying it again.”
“Alright. You know where Helen is?”
“Asleep in her room last I saw, it’s 10 in the morning after all.”
“Fair point. That’s where I thought she was but I like to check. It’s my job after all.”
Lila nodded her head before withdrawing back into the kitchen.
Theo shifted until she was comfortable, sighing contentedly.
Her life wasn’t half bad. She wasn’t rich by any means but she had what she needed. Even as far as roommates went, hers weren’t so bad.
Sure, one’s a literal witch and the other’s an actual vampire. But other than that, they’re tidy, pay her rent, buy her food; Lila even tends to her injuries when necessary.
Something was fairly common as her only job was to watch out for Hunters, keeping Lila, Helen and their often visiting friends safe. Good thing she used to be a Hunter.
She’d tried to keep it on the DL that ‘monsters’ were even living here, but that hadn’t lasted long, thanks to a gabby friend of Lila’s who, even now, never looked around before she started chatting. Fortunately, even having been retired as a Hunter for a couple of years before meeting Lila and Helen, she’d kept her skills sharp and was able to fend off any Hunters.
She intended to spend a few hours binge-watching ‘The Apartment’ before spending a few hours training. By that time, Helen would be awake, and she, Lila and Theo would meet some friends at an all night café.
