No matter how Dark it is; There is always a Rainbow to be found.
Hiya, Welcome back to PEP! This week’s post won’t be a long one. I injured my left thumb, sliced open, just a few days ago. It’s also why there wasn’t a short piece on Friday. It’s finally where I can type with it but only for so long before it either starts hurting or I start worrying about it breaking open again. As it is, the only way its working at all is because I have it bandaged from my hand to the first knuckle. It was sliced pretty badly. But fortunately not deep enough to need stitches. It’s already looking better thanks to Neosporin which I’m thankful for as I’m a slow healer. Luckily, I’m ambidextrous as I’m a natural lefty. As such, I’ll put a short piece of writing here, writing prompt, and a Monday motivation but that’ll be all I’ll be able to do today. It’ll be back to normal by next Monday at the latest.
This week’s writing:
She woke to a loud noise. It took a few minutes to figure out what had woken her. She buried her face in the pillow and tried to ignore it. She had to get up early, she wanted all the sleep she could get. But the knocking was clearly not going to stop so she huffed and sat up. As she clicked the bedside lamp on, she heard a voice add to the loud knocking. Groaning in dismay, she shoved herself into a pair of sweatpants and socks. She grabbed a flannel shirt from the closet, put it on, took a deep breath and disengaged the alarm to open the door. This was the last person she wanted to deal with right now. (TBC)
